👥 Members

Members shows everyone in your household and their roles. Only household owners can access this section.

What you’ll see

• Member list — Each person with name, role, and status
• Invite — Send an invite link to add a new member (owners only)
• Change role — Owners can promote or demote members

User roles

Each household member has one of three roles. Permissions are enforced server-side — you cannot bypass them.

Owner

Full control over the household and budget.

• Member management — Invite, remove, and change roles
• Settings — In the sidebar under Settings: Members, Audit log, and Import & export
• Budget — Everything an Editor can do
• One per household — The person who creates the household is the Owner. You can transfer ownership to another member if needed.

Editor

Can edit the budget and transactions, but not manage members.

• Budget — Create and edit categories, allocations, scheduled transactions
• Transactions — Add, edit, link, categorise
• Accounts — Add and manage accounts
• Reports, FIRE, Cash Flow — View and use all features
• Cannot — Invite members, change roles, access Audit log or Import & export

Viewer

Read-only access. Can see everything but cannot change anything.

• View — Dashboard, budget, transactions, reports, household
• Cannot — Edit allocations, add transactions, create accounts, or access Members, Audit, or Data

Tips

• Invite your partner as Editor so they can budget together
• Use Viewer for someone who only needs to see the budget (e.g. accountant, financial adviser)
• Only one Owner per household — transfer ownership before leaving if needed
