📑 Multiple Budgets

If your household has more than one budget (e.g. “Main” and “Holiday fund”), use the budget tabs next to the Budget heading to switch between them. Each budget has its own categories and allocations.

The active budget is reflected in the URL as budgetId (along with optional month). You can bookmark or share a link to a specific budget; the default household budget omits budgetId from the query string when it is the first budget in the list.

🆕 Creating another budget

When you choose New budget, after naming it you pick how categories should be set up:

• From onboarding preferences — Ledgend adds categories from your saved questionnaire answers (the same preferences you used when you first joined, unless you have updated them in Settings). This mirrors the onboarding category setup for this new budget.
• I will add categories myself — You get the usual empty Income, Bills, Everyday, and Savings groups only, and you add categories when you are ready.

You can always update your questionnaire answers from Settings whenever your situation changes.
