🔔 Alerts

Alerts let you set spending thresholds and get notified when you exceed them. Useful for staying on budget without checking every day.

What you’ll see

• Alert rules — Create rules like “Notify when Groceries exceeds £400” or “Notify when any category exceeds budgeted amount”

• Rule list — Add, edit, or remove alert rules. Each rule can target a category or category group and a threshold (amount or percentage).

When a rule is triggered, Ledgend can notify you via email or in-app (depending on your notification settings).

Tips

• Set alerts for categories you tend to overspend on
• Use percentage-based alerts for flexible budgets
• Check Notifications settings to ensure alerts are delivered
